I met with my new stylist Neelesh to talk Fashion & Style in preparation for my photo shoot this Thursday with Photographer extraordinaire Ishmil Waterman. You guys are going to be amazed with the new look.
I then headed Downtown Toronto to check the homie Landlord at his shop ‘F As In Frank’ for some fly gear for an Old School Jam i’m hosting this Friday at Grotto Lounge titled ‘The Art Of Story Telling’ brought to you by the King of Promo Kamakacci Juice. So here’s how the story goes.
Throughout my years of networking across the globe I’ve kept tight relationships with great people. A friend of mine ‘Middy’ who I first worked with in 2008 on this video, ended up landing a great position at bpm:tv behind the camera of a show titled ‘Middy and Dre‘ (I gave them that name) hosted by another friend of mine Andre.
Pizza Pizza has a section of their in-store television programming set aside for ‘Middy and Dre’ on BPM.TV.
I was in Pizza Pizza one day and noticed they played music videos on their in store televisions. I thought….’why isn’t my shit in rotation’?
I tweeted @MichaelMiddy_, he emailed @RealSammyT and cc’d me, @RealSammyT emailed back and said upload my video here to begin the voting process. I posted it and got 20 votes that day. @RealSammyT said great. @RealSammyT explained he will try to get the video in rotation sometime within the next week. He then suggested we shoot an intro for the video. I said ‘fo sho’. He said where? I said Spectacles located at 752 Queen St. West (I have a great relationship with them and figured I can get their shop advertised on over 200 Pizza Pizza locations in the GTA). WIN WIN WIN for everybody.

So, I was up till about 8am editing this video for you guys. I uploaded it and realized my editing program sucks! Thus, I hit up the man who directed the video ‘Typical Girl’ David F. Mewa and sent him everything he needed to do it up. 20 minutes later…..voila!

After a long process of brainstorming ideas, I figured a table full of female essentials would be the best way to describe this Boi-1da produced record. The next step is to call every female I’m close with and ask them to send me their goods for a day!
Shout out to Pandora on the design work. She really made this design look exactly how I visioned it (I’m looking for the paper with this idea drawn out to show you).
